Ghost of New Year Resolutions Past and Present

This is a Christmas season as you aware, and today at work we opened our last year new year resolutions. I  most certainly was a lost cause last year as I was only setting 2 goals, which one I had achieved and the other one, unlikely to happen even in near future!

It is time again, to set up some resolutions that I would like to achieve in the next year. Contrary to popular believe, MY new year resolutions doesn't involve Chelsea winning anything as that would be beyond my control. Which if you asked PasadenaMike, his being thousand miles away from England is not such an obstacle to effect the outcome of the game with his jinxes.

Anyhow, this post is dedicated to my 2013 New Year Resolutions. I will definitely make some list and this time I will make it as sensible as I can.

  1. I will make at least 150 blog posts in 2013, which means I have to make 1 post in every 2.43 days. Make sense.
  2. I will read at least 50 books, and that would include at least 1 book from the LOTR trilogy. God knows I have started reading the first book years ago! and from the other 49 books, I would also like to read at least 5 classics novel. - A bit tough, but achievable, no?
  3. I will have to lose some more weight, at least 5 more kg. - Make sense.
  4. Take a TOEFL/ IELTS test. - Need some courage to do that. I know it make sense, and it will surely make few things easier but up until now I just still have some doubts about taking the goddamn test.
  5. Gotta try to eat some fish. This is HARD!! - Doesn't make sense. Impossible. Sign of failure.
  6.  Learn new language. Germany? Mandarin? Spanish? - Almost impossible, as the big question is When will you have time to learn??
  7. Only eat fast food maximum of 6 times a year - Achievable, surely?
  8. Uploading a youtube video of my interest. At least 1 video for each Chelsea and Michael Schumacher. - Very achievable.
  9. Buy an oven , learn to bake some cake!! - A tough one.
Did I miss anything on the list?
For someone that only the first time seriously thinking what I wanted to do in the coming year, that's a pretty long list. I'm doomed even before the year has started!!

You'll see it's all a show, Keep 'em laughing as you go. Just remember that the last laugh is on you.

Life has too many reasons for being suck. Too many reason to complain about, to be bitchy about, to cry about  to be mad about, but as Eric Idle had rightly put, always look on the bright side of life! *humming*

So tonight, instead of moaning about life which is -still according to dear Eric Idle- a piece of shit when we look at it, let me just make a list of few bright sides of my life as per tonight. (well, it is my blog, go make your list in your own blog! Now, jog on you.)

OK, now is 9.50 pm, 17.12.2012

  • I had shower (which I am thankful for I have plenty of clean water)
  • I had dinner (which I am thankful because in some part of the world, lots of people -in poverty or not- go to sleep hungry)
  • I didn't go to gym (which indicate I am a member of a gym, and I am thankful for that)
  • I get home from work at 1906 hours (which I am thankful for I have a roof on top of my head and I am currently having a job, not one of them unlucky people who is still struggling to find one)
  • I woke up at 0634 hours today (which I am thankful for lots of people have to get up much more early than me to go to work or taking care of their family)

That's all I can remember now for some of bright sides of my life today.
In general, seeing life as a whole, of course I have much more reasons to be thankful about.

Here's some of the obvious little things :

  • I have a fairly happy family, we may not be rich, but we're happy.
  • I have annoying sisters, but some people desperate to have sisters, so well, I guess that's the price of having sisters!
  • I have funny papa, my mama is a great cook and most importantly, I am thankful for being born as their daughter.
  • I have great friends, from university, from works, and even friends I never actually met but only knows them through the awesome technology called internet. I am thankful for even though I often pissed them off, they seem to always support me. That's the point of having friends right? To annoys you when your siblings are not around ;-)
  • I am thankful for I have seen Chelsea winning a premier league, FA Cup, League cup and a cup with big ears in the night that I shall treasure till the day I'm old and wrinkle and probably started to forget things.
  • I am thankful to know some friends that are no longer in this world, and I shall miss them in my heart. For knowing them, I know how to appreciate life, and friends and every moment we spend in this worldly world.
  • I am thankful for every people that I met who brings heartache, thank you for making me strong, thank you for making me wiser, thank you for teaching me confidence to face the world and thank you for reminding me that I can always count on my self in moments of weakness.

and last, for every arseholes that having cruel intention, remember, Karma is a bitch! :p

Wow, I made quite a post.
Where's my pulitzer?

Alright I know, I know... sleep time now. I get it.

Nighty night. x

The Captain, The Leader and The Legend!

As clearly stated in my ineloquent self introduction, I am an avid Chelsea fans, and you don't get to argue with that, not in my blog. House rules my friends (or not friends). I will make another post regarding the house rules, after all, the point of writing and owning a blog is that one can write whatever and whenever one damn please.

So, I will dedicate my first writing come back to the one and only, a true Captain, Leader and a living Legend of a greatest football team in the world. A team which is about to rule the footballing world (by winning a club world cup of course) at the time this post is made.

So, John Terry. A Chelsea Captain. The Enemy of Football.

If you're a Chelsea fans, you would have suffered as much as I had in this John Terry - Anton Ferdinand saga. Not a pretty sight actually, and not even a lovely tunes for ears on what the court had revealed. He did win in the court though, which means he DID NOT FOUND guilty (written exactly in capital bold, so no one will miss that!)

But really, did the court result matter? Not in UK footballing world apparently! Because they have their own law which seems to be above the civil law. Well, I won't bore you with the details and I guess pretty much everyone knows that finally he is found guilty as he was PROBABLY insult that Rio's baby brother. (No one in that governing body seemed to ever wonder though that it could also PROBABLY Anton DID say those damned words first).

Media pressure? A certain party pressure? A witch-hunt?

Well, that will be one of those worldly mysteries that might never be solved.

Personally, I am awfully disappointed with the UK media, which unfortunately, when you're living in a third world country namely Indonesia, what local media here sold as a news is an Indonesian version for whatever the UK media wrote.

Today, a picture was spreading in the internet as you can see below. It is a thank you letter from a father to John. And I can assure you, this is NOT the first time I hear nice things about John. BUT will I find that reported in the tabloids? Highly unlikely. I won't hold my breath. As just most of the nice things I heard about JT are from words of mouth, from the person who experienced their moment with him, and I really can't recall media eagerly reporting that, not even an inch of their eager to report his wrongly alleged extra-marital affair.

I salute you JT! You are forever a Chelsea man, a Chelsea Legend for me. Of course if I had a chance for him to listen to me, I would definitely suggest him to hire a more skilled PR agent.

So.. My final words is that just think for yourself, don't listen and then believe everything you read on tabloids. It is mostly destructive and leading you the other way.

As Buddha said, “Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”

Nemaste!

The Dark Princess Rises

Rebirth.

It is started in a very odd dream from someone who don't dream often enough. I dream I blog, therefore I do.

The feeling of writing a blog, the satisfaction when finished writing articles is somehow come back. Well, as one who always want to be a writer as a child, but unfortunately do not follow one dream, one get what one deserve, stuck working in an office and having a boring office life.

So, am I too late to back on the right track? and start writing again?

I realised when I re-discover this blog that I had an unpublished post, which ofcourse, I published immediately, dated back in 2009 and claiming that all my previous posts had disappeared. I can't recall why though. Sad.

BTW, be back writing in a bit. Dinner to attend to.

It IS good to be back :)
