As clearly stated in my ineloquent self introduction, I am an avid Chelsea fans, and you don't get to argue with that, not in my blog. House rules my friends (or not friends). I will make another post regarding the house rules, after all, the point of writing and owning a blog is that one can write whatever and whenever one damn please.
So, I will dedicate my first writing come back to the one and only, a true Captain, Leader and a living Legend of a greatest football team in the world. A team which is about to rule the footballing world (by winning a club world cup of course) at the time this post is made.
So, John Terry. A Chelsea Captain. The Enemy of Football.
If you're a Chelsea fans, you would have suffered as much as I had in this John Terry - Anton Ferdinand saga. Not a pretty sight actually, and not even a lovely tunes for ears on what the court had revealed. He did win in the court though, which means he DID NOT FOUND guilty (written exactly in capital bold, so no one will miss that!)
But really, did the court result matter? Not in UK footballing world apparently! Because they have their own law which seems to be above the civil law. Well, I won't bore you with the details and I guess pretty much everyone knows that finally he is found guilty as he was PROBABLY insult that Rio's baby brother. (No one in that governing body seemed to ever wonder though that it could also PROBABLY Anton DID say those damned words first).
Media pressure? A certain party pressure? A witch-hunt?
Well, that will be one of those worldly mysteries that might never be solved.
Personally, I am awfully disappointed with the UK media, which unfortunately, when you're living in a third world country namely Indonesia, what local media here sold as a news is an Indonesian version for whatever the UK media wrote.
Today, a picture was spreading in the internet as you can see below. It is a thank you letter from a father to John. And I can assure you, this is NOT the first time I hear nice things about John. BUT will I find that reported in the tabloids? Highly unlikely. I won't hold my breath. As just most of the nice things I heard about JT are from words of mouth, from the person who experienced their moment with him, and I really can't recall media eagerly reporting that, not even an inch of their eager to report his wrongly alleged extra-marital affair.
I salute you JT! You are forever a Chelsea man, a Chelsea Legend for me. Of course if I had a chance for him to listen to me, I would definitely suggest him to hire a more skilled PR agent.
So.. My final words is that just think for yourself, don't listen and then believe everything you read on tabloids. It is mostly destructive and leading you the other way.
As Buddha said, “Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”
Nemaste!
